Anyone doing this in Dallas or surrounding area with alkaline clay. I got one of these at a swap and I would like to know how they do for you - where you have it planted (sun, psun, pshade?), did you amend the soil, do you feed it acidic fertilizer?

I am going to amend the soil with cotton boll compost (acidic), but I am wondering how long it will stick around and if it will get established in my clay.
