Today has been a wonderful day! Spring has come with Seven-miles-boots. This picture was made from the entrance of one of the Greenhouses with view to the Diebstein, which was a former volcano. The pastures are covered with Dandilions.
Spring on the Diebstein
I am so happy for you Monika! Now the work begins! I can't wait to see your alley this year.
You have such a lovely spot there on earth. And to think how much you add to its beauty!
So pretty, made my heart smile. I like this time of year best of all.
I was driving home from work today and thinking to myself how beautiful it was with the blooming trees and bulbs in bloom.I love this time of year! Everything is waking up!
Happy May Day, tomorrow, to everyone!
I think our climate must be about like yours, Monika.
Bonnie
What a beautiful yard you have Monica. Enjoy the warm weather.
Your place has really greened up and you sure can tell it is spring. I know you are working very hard because you always do this time of year. I know your place will be gorgeous again as it always is in the summer. Show us pictures as things change and more starts blooming.
Lovely Monika, thankfully spring seems to have arrived for you. Those tall trees in the middle of the gh look like they need to get outside before they poke through the roof.
My Monica is sold! She is sitting here saying, lets go in September.
So beautiful Monika! Thank you for sharing your spring with us!
You have to go early September Root, before she starts digging the Allee up.
That is what I am telling her!
Thank you to all of you! I too love this time of the year. It seems to me, that the grass and the new leaves of the tree is never greener as at this time.
I have to wait three more weeks, before I can move the Angels Trumpets out because we still have to expect frost.
Rooty, the best time for a visit is Mid-August. In September, we have to expect the first fall storms with rain and very cool temperatures.
Sure looks refreshing!! Much MUCH different from the winter pictures. Im glad this time of year has finally come for you Moni
Your garden looks just beautiful ! Now I know why I love europe so !!
Monika, wunderbaugh! (I probably misspelled that) I lived in Germany for 2 years 71-72. I loved all of Europe. It is so "Timeless". I lived near Frankfurt (Mianz) I know I could go back there today & it would look bascially the same.
Spring is a very beautiful time if year. You have a beautiful slice of earth there. Looking forward to seeing pics of the rest of the season's. Thank-x for sharing!
Bj
Bj, you would not recognize Frankfurt anymore. The skyline looks now like Manhattan. I live about 100km northeast of Frankfurt in the middle of the woods LOL. It is about 40km distance from Fulda.
I would love to go back, see all the old haunts I used to go to.
It was a wonderful experience for me, then.
Luckily I did enjoy the simpler things, a bike ride along the Rhine a long train trip, wine fests. Frankfurt had so many wonderful old buildings, did they knock them down or build around them?
Maybe someday I will go back there. If I do I'll be sure to look you up! Ah... those were the days!
Monika, that is so pretty. What is the tree with the white flowers in the first picture, the tree to the right? It reminds me of my pear tree, the first around here to announce spring has arrived. Life is so good!
It's just beautiful Monika. So full of promise.
Wow Monika, spring has sprung at your house! It is beautiful, and I am sure a welcome sight. I know the work ahead of you is hard, but you do such a wonderful job, I can't wait to see all your work this year, ready for some drop-jaw pictures!
Monika, your photos of your property are wonderful, it looks so beautiful and peacful, I could move there in a flash and be happy forever. Thank you for sharing!!!!! SLike
Great pictures Monika. Looks like spring is finally going to be there for a while.
Roz, it is a Wild Cherry Tree. Many of them are growing here.
The weather has been very nice in the past days. The Mahonias are flowering and I just can not get enough of the honey sweet fragrance of their flowers. The large rape field behind our house will also flower soon. The green of the trees and pastures + the yellow color of the rape and its fragrance will be like heaven for me.
I'm so glad Spring finally came to your house, Monika. LOL
I have a wild cherry tree, but mine never looks so pretty; it has few blooms. Maybe it is not a wild cherry tree; it makes little hard berries, that are not edible.
Roz posted: have a wild cherry tree, but mine never looks so pretty;
Dear heart, cherry trees simply will not thrive in our zone, we've tried them forever. Ain't it a shame...
It sure is; Monika's tree is so pretty.
These are mini-cherries. They are eatable and taste like cultivated cherries. Would you like to have seeds of it in July Roz?
