I bet you are gonna luv it.

Thanks! It's a little dicey in our zone. But it's going in a protected spot that tends to stay pretty warm, and any threats of temps below 20 will have me out there covering and mulching ;o)

I'm going back for a second one, now that I see how much room I need fill in.

The 2 'Plum Delight' I have have grown to about 5 feet tall and wide. I don't know if it is the same kind as yours because sometimes the same cultivars are labelled with different names. Mine were from Monrovia. The 2 'Razzleberri' from Monrovia are more compact in growth habit. They are wonderful plants. Here's hoping the colder winter there never affects them. :o)

Terry, how did your do?

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

I just snapped some photos yesterday of the blooms. First year, a little "spotty" on blooms, but it came through the winter just fine (I figured it would, considering it's against a west-facing wall in a fairly protected spot.)

Mine just quit blooming and are the leaves are that beautiful reddish plum color. I just love them. I am glad that yours survived the winter there. I bet the next round of blooms will be better.

Hi Terry,

I'm just currious if your chinese Fringe Flower withstand your climate after the years? They're hardy here in my zone, and are quite popular in the landscape as evergreen -- rather everpurple attractive foliages all year round. ^_^

They did okay until last spring's late freeze. *IF* I had been patient, they probably would have come back (after I ripped out the seemingly-dead shrubs, I saw other Loropetalums in town that were slowly recovering.) I replaced them with three more...those were smaller again, so we're starting over.

But yes, they do remain evergreen here. They would be larger if I remembered to water them more frequently ;o)

Thank you, Terry for sharing. I'll check out pf and add on our zipcode. :-)
