I walked back through the creek today to see the trilliums. They are quite thin this year, it seems. After the woods was logged off by the former owners, all the wildflowers entered a not so sure of their status phase. They are just shaking out now, after 8 years, where they are still able to grow comfortably.
I did get back to where the green trillium grows. I'm not sure if it's a T. viride or if it's just an oddly colored painted trillium. I am taking a course on spring flowers starting next Tuesday and hope to find out more then.
