Looks like you got a winner!!

San Diego, CA(Zone 10a)

What a color! Froggy green with envy here!

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

Did you create that yourself? It's beautiful!! I want it!

Go to montereybaynsy.com and look it up under p down to passiflora Coral Seas. Will go to27f without damage but will come back below that. Heavy grower, as you can read.

Thanks. I went and looked but they are only wholesale, and in CA. I'm going to check with some nurseries here to see if there's a way to get them to Phoenix. I really, really, want one, and also "Allspice". Wish me luck. :-)

Well dang and drat. I've just found info that Coral Sea will not take our heat. How disappointing.

Covington, LA(Zone 8b)

Judy--you never know. I am going to try it anyway. Coral seas is supposed to hate heat and humidity. Here in south Louisiana heat and humidity is all we have. Mine is about 1 1/2 ft tall and looking good. Of course, it is just May 1. Much worse is yet to come.

Which do you like better? Please say why. Thanks anyone who wishes to reply.

I like the first pic you posted. With light coming from behind it, the flower looks almost translucent. Of the night pics, I prefer the first one, it seems to not look as blued.

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

I like the first pic at the top of the thread...the color matches it's name. I agree with judyb regarding the night pic. The second one looks enhanced.

This is a problem we have with light. Early in the morning, before sunrise, and as the sun sets colors show that blue . I get up at 5:30 A.M. and wait for light. I see alot of hummers then, more then any other time. It's hard to catch them because the light isn't there for camera speed, lighting etc.Back lighting a shot brings the true color. That is what I wanted when I took the first one Thanks. This next pic has a light up the center approach I use with mgs and Trumpet flower shots.

That last pic of Coral Sea is GORGEOUS!

I know what you mean about the light. Our light is so bright that midday color is almost nonexistent.

The 'blue' passie is very pretty, what is it? It looks like Incense with 3 lobed leaves.

Citrus Heights, CA(Zone 9b)

It's called Allspice, go to the database page. Passiflora Allspice . That is the same basic flower under different light conditions. Allspice is called by Monterey Bay Nursery " The New Incense" No virus problem .It is really cool. It's filliments keep getting longer with new flowers. I took this today at 10.00A.M.

Nice, nice, nice. I'd have an Allspice if I could find someplace to get one. :-(
