Winter straight to Summer!!

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

A few days ago, we had 8-10+ inches of snow on the ground. Granted this thermometer was in partial sun, BUT it was also at 6pm. I sware. We were suposed to have a low of 24 tonight, now its at 41. The weather here this time of year makes my head spin!! (must do the same to the meteorologists).
The brugs are stayin out tonight! They were out lastnight with 45 degrees, and it didnt even faze them.

We were to have 33 last night, so had to move everything inside. Whew! Hope that doesn't happen many more times! It is to be 80 in a couple days. Probably mid May, we will get a hard freeze.

With the crazy weather we've had, we can expect anything. LOL

My DH said he read that we are in for 40 years of unusual weather. I think maybe this time he may have got some good weather information. LOL!

Gosh, I hate to have this to look forward to for forty years. LOL

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Me too, not sure I can make another 40.

Montgomery, AL(Zone 8a)

I don't know about 40 yrs worth, but there has been a definite
weather change taking place over the last 4 - 5 yrs. If this pattern continues, I will have to have my weather zone changed, for the warmer. I have been getting fewer days below 25 each yr.

It is supposed to snow in Denver today or tonight again.

We generally have a freeze up to about the first of May and can have it even later as our projected last frost date still stands at around the tenth of May. However, last year and this year, we have not had freezes after the middle of April and last year, I think it was close to the first of April. I just can't take a chance and put stuff out in case it does happen. Definitely a difference in the weather pattern here also. I'm not complaining since I prefer the milder winters. Two winter's ago the low was about zero, but this year we got down to ten below zero. Just never know. I'll bet that someplace in Iowa there will be a freeze this weekend. Surely that will be the end of it for this year. By the way, if I'm not around much it is because I'm getting ready for company to arrive. This weekend is the Iowa Roundup and there is a lot to do to get ready for it. I'll try to check in when I can, but my visits will be brief. Hope you all have a great weekend. I'm planning on meeting a lot of new DG people and having a great time, even if it will be cold. LOL!!

It did snow this AM, and Im just waiting for more. Alright so I brought the brugs in LOL. I woke up at about 3, and decided it was best. Its still "warm" compared to what you would think should go with snow, but NOT the temps it was yesterday. The moisture sure is nice tho! Not only do the plants and grass enjoy it, BUT I dont get a zap everytime I touch somthing metal. :o)
Here, we go by the "plant on Mother's day" rule. Glad its coming up!
Shirly, and everyone going to the RU, have a WONDERFUL time. I will be thinking of yall.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Shirley, we'll miss you but hope everyone has a fabulous time. I wish I was closer, I'd sure come. LOL
