Hi,
I wrote about this plant that I have growing on my stoep, here in Gauteng, Springs, South Africa. about 1 month ago.
My parrot plant has grown about 2 and a half inches since, is now standing 17 cms. high, leaves are 9 cms in length. It has made lovely new plant, in the same pot and somehow in the another potplant standing right next to it. The original plant has aso flowered a few times, also got lovely new shoots. Still gets watered every day, and fertilized once per month.
I also turn the plant every 2 days.

Please can someone reply me: How do I take take of this plant is our Frostbitten Winter Season here in South africa?? My e-mail address is maj.erasmus@telkomsa.net
if anyone has an answer for me, will appreciate it!!

Thanks,

Danilouis2 - It sounds like you are giving the plant very nice care. I would simply move it inside when the weather starts to get cold. Give it some filter light and cut back the watering some and don't fertilize over winter. My guess it that you got some seeds that dropped into the neighboring pot.
Keep hanging around DG and I am sure you will get lots of information and get to meet some very nice people.
