chelone turtle head plant

Hi

I received some of these in trades last year. I planted them on the edge of my pond. They bloomed but then died back (only stick left). So far they have not gotten any new leaves. Does anyone know if they usually come back after winter?

Betty, they will come back, will not grow from old stem, but put out a new stalk from the roots.
