Did anyone else see that brug on HGTV this morning? The guy lives in Florida and never dug it up. That thing had probably 6-7 main "trunks" around 2-4 inches in diameter! I saw it and [deleted] jumped out of my mouth immediately. Thank goodness for tivo so I could show my wife. I've never seen anything remotely close to that in size. Man I wished I lived somewhere that tropical, but then I'd probably complain about not being able to grow plants that thrive here.LOL IT's MADNESS
8 yr. old brug on tv today!
Hah! I saw it too. Really something if they get to live in the ground.
I didn't see it but have some with the trunks about 21/2" in size ten to 12 feet high
Dang....I WANT TO SEEEEEE IT!!! I'll be watching for a rerun now!
Hey Irish, ...

§hirley
Bags are packed and I'm ready to roll scoot!!! yeah! Anyone else want to go?
I already have some that are as tall as the house and I cut them back to about 2' last fall. I was afraid that we would have a long night of weather around 30 F and that they would all freeze to the ground like the year before. I did not want to cut and pick up mushy stems this spring.
We did not have a long night freeze this Feb. but I never know so I cut them back. Now they are at the roofline and probably 5' wide. They have grown extremely fast the since March and are full of blooms.
Frannie, you live in a good zone. I wish I was in a warmer zone but like JLD said, I'd miss the other plants I can grow.
I watched too and it was beautiful:) didn't he say it was like eight years old now?
We need pics Frannie!
I saw one on TV a while back,it was on a Sci Fi program, the program was about UFOs,seems a guy in Fla.had faked some photos, and they were good, people did not know it was a hoax for quite some time, well one of his pictures had a saucer over a great big Brug.
See Root, even the aliens like our Brugs. LOL
