Geeze! I never knew such beautiful plants as these existed.
The pictures of all the wonderful colors, WOW! I did get some white seeds & purple Datura in a RR seed swap. I have those started. Only 1 white so far lots of purple tho. I did just rec. cuttings from a friend. What's the best way to propagate them? I live in zone 7-8, so guess I'll have to bring them in in the winter? There are none of these in any of the nurseries here. I have only seen one white one from afar in San Francisco, then I didn't know what they even were.
I love gardening of all kinds & I think I may have my newest obsession plant cornered, Thankx guys!
I bet it really tickles you old Brugie collectors to no end when you see one of us discover it for the first time? I can't remember the last time I was THIS excited about a plant!
Any input would be welcomed!
*BPA Brug plants Annomyus???? & the 12 step process for becoming un-infatuated.?
Bj
I'm adicted, is there a *BPA?
Hi Bj....and welcome! This is BPA, but I really don't believe there is a 12 step process...so welcome and good luck!
Watch that first step,it is a doosy!! Next thing you know you will want them all, then you wonder where you are going to put them.
Lol,
I'm supposed to admit that im powerless over brugs? i only have 30 and there are still hundreds more to get....
Who was it that said "another one bites the dust"??
Root, I already want them all! I wish I lived in a warmer zone, as I have 4 acres, plent of room! Unfortunately I'll have to stick to some favorites, which so far are all of em!
Thankx for the welcome Brinda! Looking forward to making new friends!
Bj
Throw the 12 step process out the door and jump right in. There are several places available to order plants from. You might as well go crazy over brugs like the rest of us. LOL!! Have fun and post pictures as you go of the dats and any brugs you might get. We love pictures here.
Welcome BJ and consider yourself helpless from this point on. There are so many experienced people on this forum to help you and there is also Monika, our resident expert who also has a wonderful book that she has written that explains so much and she makes it easy to understand everything.
Anytime you have questions, you will get accurate answers here at Dave's and everyone is very friendly and helpful.
I know you will have a good time and you will be addicted as we all are.......lol
Welcome to Dave's. I spent a very memorable 4th of July in Weaverville one year. Hwy 299 is one of my favorite drives.
Watch out for these people. They are very kindhearted and anxious to share their addiction. I have the brugs around my garden to prove it Lol! This time last year, I had none. Oh Yeah. It helps to have stock in Miracle Gro.
Hello Bj! I was about to start a welcome thread for you for I saw you post on another thread and I see your name on the new subscriber list. You will love it there at Dave's. We all have so much fun. On the brgu forum we have a famous german hybridizer Monika who helps us all out with expert advice when we get into a brug pickle.
Send me your address and I will start you out with some Brug seeds.
Hi BJ. Welcome to Dave's and the "big addiction." You say you only want the main ones to keep your addiction low. LOL I said that too. Now I have two greenhouses and took over DH's garage just to over winter mine small addiction. Good luck and forget the twelve step program. LOL It doesn't work.
Hello Bj and Welcome to the glorious world of brug addiction!
I would imagine MOST of us remember our first take too.
I still get the 'swoons' when I see one in bloom or the beautiful pictures online.
Well! What a wonderful warm welcome!
Kell, that is a very nice offer, I think I'll send you an e-mail!
Yep, I only have a few starts (actually just sticks) of white , one seed of a white sprouted & several 8 or 9 purple Datura sprouted & I'm already excited beyond belief!
I can tell this is gonna be an addiction.
Great to know we have a resident expert!
Looking forward to getting to know all my new Brug friends.
Thank-x again for the nice welcome!
Bj
