The lady who I adopted my most recent puppy was arrested yesterday for animal abuse. Apparently, she had multiple locations that were not 'manned' and the dogs were in some cases, "12 inches deep in feeces". All the dogs were death row rescues.
After having lost a pet, and finding comfort in my pet being with God, I wonder how much better it would've been for these pets had their suffering been spared to begin with. Or if the chance that a few of these animals may actually be well enough to get adopted instead of euthanized were worth it.
