How old is this tree. I would like to plant one of these specimens. Where do I purchase one and how do I maintain its growth?

no idea... this is at an arboretum. However, have seen seedlings of this for sale at some nurseries in southern CAlifornia.

thanks for the info... I am in Downey 90240...What zone am I in?

palmbob,

WOW, great picture!

I have one of these trees in my backyard; I guess it's going to get MUCH larger than I thought it would.

From the look of the foliage on the tree in your picture, I would say that the tree is Juniperus scopulorum 'Tolleson's Blue Weeping' and not 'Tolleson's Green Weeping' (even though the the ID tag on the plant at the arboretum might say it's the green weeping form. Even plants in arboretums can be incorrectly identified (c:).

swiss,
This tree is produced by Monrovia and is sold in garden centers all over the country (where it can grow). If this tree can be grown in your area (zone 10), your local nurseries will stock this plant. You don't need to do anything to maintain its growth. Just let it do its thing.
