Tea bags?

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Is it safe for me to put tea in the soils (brugs)after I had it cooked for iced teas. Cut the bags open and sprinkle them on top around of brugs? Most of times, I throw it away. I just thought about those brugs and others plants and might be good for them?

Just wonder..

I read that tea is good in compost, but I don't know about on brugs. When I was trying to find info re Barnyard Tea, I saw lots of 'tea' recipes, which some call organic fertilizer and there are lots of 'tea' recipes. SLike

I save all my tea and coffee grounds for the acid-loving plants like azaleas, rhododendrons, camellias and so on- they love it.

I put my tea and coffee grounds on the compost pile.

Does the tea or coffee have to go through the compost pile before it can be put in the garden?

No, just don't put it up against the plant's stem.

Thank you all for the information.. So far I dont have the compost pile! Umm maybe I will just cut the bag and release the tea on ground.
