Very very nice!
Looks like yours seems to bloom fine.

What's you secret? Did you fertlize HG a lot? Is it in sun or shade? I still think this one of the prettiest doubles. I just wish it wasn't so stingy with blooms. Looks like you have the golden touch ;)

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Pretty color!

Poppysue, I treat them all the same. Nothing in my yard gets full sun. I think HG prefers part sun. Only my pond area gets more than a couple hrs of direct sun and it only gets about 4 hrs. I have 2 HG's and both have buds on them. I waited almost 2 yrs before getting a flower on HG. I have it crossed with L'amour as the daddy and also with every pink I had blooming at the time, Rosamond, Butterfly, Aurea Pink Hybrid and a few others. Don't know what took. I want to get something that blooms easier with color.

WOWSER!

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

It is good to hear that someone has had good luck getting this one to flower. Mine made buds last year, but then dropped them. I managed to save one cut when I moved, so am going to give it another try this year.
Thanks for sharing your picture.

I hope you get a nice pink double from those seeds Larry!

Cala, any color will be great as long as it will bloom sooner and more often. I would like to keep the flower structure of HG.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

You must be the expert of blooms then! Mine never even gets buds to drop. Those crosses sound too good.

LOL, next summer you will have hundreds of baby HGs types all over your yard. What a great thought!

edited to say Hi Patricia! It is so good to see you here again. I have meant to email you and see how you are doing with your new house. Did your plants adapt well?

Wow, Mary. Mine hasn't bloomed yet. I got it last Spring. I hope it blooms this year.

Montgomery, AL(Zone 8a)

Mary, it seems last yr for some unknown reason, several of us had HG to bloom. I had 10-12 buds on one and in moving it I knocked off 6, but the other 6 bloomed. I think it is a really pretty brug.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Larry, it is beautiful and I am so happy for you that you have pods. You made some great crosses and no doubt you will get something extraordinary from them.
