Trilliums blooming, too!

I just love these and I wasn't sure if they would survive a winter in a pot while I was moving. They look just fine, and more are on the way!

very nice, darius. I have a grouping of small ones around the toughest azalea in the world. It was given to me by an old man (his name was Bear) who was getting out of the nursery business. It was in a coffee can and had been neglected for a couple of years. Then after I planted up on a hill away from the house, I forgot about it and my husband found it. We brought it to this house, where John managed to burn it down TWICE. Once because it was beside the kiln shed and once when he was burning brush. It's back again and blooming right now. Luckily, the trilliums are back too......

That sure is one tough azalea!

Trilliums are one of my very favorite plants, too. I've collected about 6 different ones. I just wish I could get them to multiply at a faster rate? Darius, do you have any suggestions?

pins... my trilliums have increased a lot faster in pots this last year than they ever did in the ground. They also get watered more often, and fed occasionally.

I'm not recommending pots, just noting my observations!

with wild ones, I heard it takes 7 years from the time the seedlings come up until they bloom. True?

I have no idea. These were bought at a reputable nursery and I really hope they were not collected in the wild.

spirit - that's what we were told as kids, so we never picked them when we went searching for them in the woods. No idea if it's actually true. :)
