Happy Bees

San Diego, CA(Zone 10a)

The bees are wallowing in the poppies. The entire patch is just humming all day.

It was so crowded that they had to share.

The poor flowers are quite a mess when they are done for the day. Pollen everywhere.

Wallowing! That's exactly what they do in shallower flowers! I just love watching the bees. They seem to swim in the big deep thistles, they dive in head first and disappear for a while before coming back up.

Amazing what those little bees can do, when my wisteria ws blooming, I couldn't walk anywhere near it, literally l00's of bees

I'm so glad others enjoy the bees!

My neighbors have hives, and the bees love my poppy patch. I recall taking a photo with 8 or 9 of them in the same poppy. I enjoy sitting nearby in the early morning with my coffee. I think they are saying thank you.

My first (other than California) poppies opened today. Time for relaxing mornings observing the bees.
