Pancreatitis

I wanted to ask everyone to keep our baby, Wings in your prayers. He was diagnosed last Monday with Pancreatitis and spent 4 days at the vet's on IV's. He stayed with a friend who is retired and could watch him constantly for a few days, and just came home yesterday. He still has an temp (104º), and elevated amylase levels, but the vet said there was nothing he was doing that we couldn't do at home. We've been getting him to eat a little ground beef and rice, but not more than 1/4 cup at a time. He is very weak and has lost a lot of weight, and he wasn't a big dog to begin with. Is anyone familiar with this disease. Any information, or personal stories would be appreciated.
