I didn't know what these were, so I took pictures a couple of weeks ago, now they are starting to vine...no pictures today, but I did look at them.
Are these baby passion Flower vines?
I don't think so. It looks like a watermelon! :o)
i agree looks like melon
I will take a picture tomorrow, it isn't melon, I didn't plant any! It is different from watermelon, can't explain how, but it is...maybe a more recent picture will tell us more. I have Passion Flower in that area, my DH thinks it is young PF plants.
Thanks Ladies!
Yes, that is what I mean, and yours do look like mine
Thanks.
Melva
Melva, some passifloras send out runners and make plants a long ways off from the mother plant.
Melva, is that a seed pod next to the bloom? Mine don't do that so I've never seen one before.
Molly :^)
Melva, the leaves in the first picture you posted look a lot like Canary Climber, which is a Nasturtium relative.

There are a few other less common climbing Nasturtiums which also have hand shaped leaves; but, Canary Climber is the most likely in gardens here.
All the Passion Vine leaves I am familiar with will only have 3 lobes.
edited to fix spelling.

Molly,
I think the seed pod is sweet peas...I never know as I have so much in such a small space...
Canary Climber? Hmmmm....I planted some of them in pots and don't have any...maybe those are seeds that spilled?
Darn it! Found a Passion Vine with 5 lobes. That'll teach me to make generalizations about leaf form! I still think your plant looks more like Canary Climber, though. I don't see any tendrils in your photo. Has your vine developed any? Canary Climber climbs by wrapping the stems of its leaves (petioles) around any handy support. Passion vines climb using tendrils.
