unheardof

June I was just thinking about your restaurant as I was googling for a low carb pizza recipe. I like the way you have listed on your menu whether items are low carb or nut-free etc. Very helpful. I wish more restaurants would do that.

Thanks Liz; we keep trying. But I have to say I'm a bit of a curmudgeon when it comes to carb elimination. I keep trying to convince folks that they can reduce without eliminating and that life is too short to eat stuff that tastes awful or is chemically altered just to make it low carb, low fat (that was my previous battle), low anything

I like to concentrate on making whatever the food is as natural and chemical free as possible

Normally I'd agree with you wholeheartedly but I'm waiting on hip surgery so trying to drop as much weight as I can as fast as I can.

Hip surgery??? This is the lady who drags how many brugs in and out how many times? Are we all certifiable? LOL

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8a)

I can vouch for Liz...........yes, she is having hip surgery! E. This evening, I feel like I should go in for some kind of surgery, also...............like surgery on my so called brain, these days! Spent most of the day, cleaning out my greenhouse, crawling around under plants and over stuff...one more day.......should be done!!! I was wondering why my body is talking to me tonight.........OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!

Certifiable? Yes.....
It's osteoarthritis from a misspent youth of too much skiing and aerobics classes. Thank goodness now they don't have to do replacement, they can do resurfacing.

Liz, do they tell you how long the type of surgery you are having will last? When are you going for the surgery? My replacements are supposed to be good for twenty years plus. I hope they know what they are talking about.

Jagonjune, there's the lady you should be asking if she's certifiable. Shirley has had 2 hips done and she's like the energizer bunny when it comes to moving things.
Shirley, they're saying 25-30 years at least. Hopefully it'll get done in the summer, which might screw up my summer, but hey! putting in an elevator would then be tax deductible. lol

Jim has asked me many times why you guys didn't put in something so you didn't have to do all the steps. Good idea, waiting for the medical excuse. Wow, that is a good many years too. I wish I had been able to chose but your type surgery wasn't here when mine were done.

Have you priced that elevator, Liz. You might have a heart attack if you did and then there goes the hip surgery. We were going to put just a little dumb waiter in the restaurant when we renovated but decided it would be way cheaper to hire staff with good knees.

Well looks like Liz had to wait longer than expected, but maybe this is better than in the summer?
