Sanguinea -can you tell by the shape of the leaves?

Ashton, IL(Zone 5a)

I got the seeds off eBay and have seen a few posts where - oops! - seeds from eBay turned out to be something else. I have grown this one since November and hope it is Sanguinea. Can anyone tell me from a picture - it's not blooming so it would have to be id'd from the leaves.

Yes Ma'am, and you're right to have that stake in there. I'd keep staking it as you repot.

It's kind of a floppy plant so I staked it - doesn't seem to be sick but it will decide to bend waaay over sometimes. It seems to hate unfiltered sunlight, even in the winter the room could be 60 degrees but when the sun hit it, it would sag a bit.

Oh, so it's normal for them to need support? And it is Sanguinea then?

It has a tendency to ramble and it's still young. But it looks good.

Ah, that's good. Thanks Liz!

I've had some that flop so much I thought about putting it in a hanging basket!

Sangs are cool weather brugs. I've been told they will only grow well in 50° night time, to 70° temps max. daytime. There are experts here that can tell you much more.
..........I'm giving all but one of mine away. That one will stay in AC and we will see how it does although I do expect it to croak .

Yes, I hear they like it cool - well my house, an old Victorian, has a south-facing bay window with 100 year old drafty windows. So it's often 55-65 there in the winter during the day. Summertime, I guess I can put it in the basement under a grow light since we don't do AC here. The basement (earth floors, stone walls) is usually 60 degrees. But that's kinda sad - like solitary confinement!

What a beauty!!
