Hi Baa,

Hope you keep posting pix of this liliy as it grows. I have the yellow and orange leichtlinii but the shoots are green. Maybe mine are mislabeled. What is your bloom like?

I've shipped dogs to Japan but never bulbs. You have so many wonderful species lilies, and don't forget the truly wonderful Japanese iris.

Ginny with a wonderful day at 23C today, supposed to be a high!! of2C tomorrow. April is a dizzy month weather-wise in Canada.

Thanks for the link to the data base with the pix of the lilies, Baa. Did you put the zone info there? Reason for question is that I'm in zone 2b and these are very happy here. We were at -40C odd for quite a few weeks this past winter. Lots of cuddly snow cover though.

Yes I did put in the zone info in, we don't use zones here so I have to rely on information from North American sites. I find the zones a bit misleading too, like you say you had a good snow covering so the bulbs were probably kept in a dry stasis, give them -40 in a British winter and we'd have mushy bulbs *G*

It's worth mentioning in a comment that they survive in your region though!
