I just got my first EE's last week, they are just now getting over transplant shock. But I am hoping for good growth. Maybe in a few months.

i planted some black elephant ears with green veins this spring and they are smaller than my other e.e.'s and they turned almost entirely green as they have grown. not sure why or how to keep them black. dooley worth, saint simons island.

Dooley,

They might need a little more sun. Not all EE's require shade.

I have some right now that are going somewhat green and I believe they need more sun and more more. Been meaning to get out there and move them. Maybe tomorrow.

black ee's will actually turn green w/ lots of sun.

I have a few, and would be willing to trade a few bulbs for something a little more exotic than the regular old ruffles if anyone has some black or red stems, jenningsii, etc.

I don't want to dig them until the foliage dies back so maybe in a month or so if anyone is interested.
