Rosemary
Rosmarinus officinalis

Rosemary bush has started to bloom ! Pic was taken 0n 15th of march. The bush is now about 100 cm. I 'll give it a hard trim every year after it has stopped blooming. I love the scent and the looks. A wonderfull herb in the kitchen and for many other uses.

Do you know if all varieties of upright rosemary are the same?
I just bought 5 in one-gallon tubs here in Austin, Texas.
It's VERY popular where I live because the deer will eat almost everything but this!
I hope it will bloom purple as my colors are orange, rust, purple, chartreuse and reg. green.

Hi Connie. Some will be little less or more aromatic or little more or less slow growing or hardy. Flowers come mostly in all shades of purple/blue. There are a few pinkflowering ( R. officinalis 'Majorica Pink', 'Roseum', 'Rosemarey') and a few white flowering also (R.o. var. albifloris, 'Compact White') Your garden sounds wonderfull !

I'd like to do a topiary...you do that with rosemary, right?
