A couple puppy questions ...

Did your puppies ever breathe in weird patterns when sleeping? I'm asking this as Allie goes from real quiet short breaths, to almost snoring quick breaths. She has done the "puppy twitching", but I know that's not so out-of-the-ordinary.

Another one ... did anybody's puppy first come home and slow down in eating rates? We're on Eukanuba small breed puppy formula, and by her weight, she should be eating 1 - 1&1/3 cups a day. We haven't been close since Friday when she came home. Saturday and yesterday, it was about 1/2 cup. Today, probably 3/4 (after I doctored it up). I asked my vet today on my way home from the store, and they gave me a can of Science Diet wet puppy food, and said to mix some with her dry food. Well, it worked, as she ate almots 1/2 cup dry, and about 2 heaping tbsp of wet. :) I was elated to get that much food in her. Is there anything else we can do? Please don't suggest just changing food right now .... I want her to be able to chew these baby bites, and I haven't seen any other foods that are as small as this stuff.

The interactions with Hobbs are getting much better, and a little better with Furball. Allie actually voluntarily went into her little crate in the kitchen two or three times during the day today, curling up to take a day-nap. :) I'm thankful for that, as I'm a little worried about going back to work Wednesday.
