Lisa,

I have had mine for years, they have not bloomed since I got them!! This year I have a few
blooms & I know when I got them
they were a light blue, would you believe they are blooming pale yellow??? Good thing the bloomed, they almost hit the compost pile!!! The Iris are like the Seven Sister Rose I dug out of MIL yard, they were blooming red when I dug them up, but have always bloomed pink in my yard?? Must be the ph??

Maybe so. These are blooming pale yellow. I was just about ready to dig em up and plant something else. They must have heard me thinking.

Were your plants the same as Rylaffs?

I like this flower very much. I have never seen one before.

I have a clump of those Rylaff, one of my customers gave it to me last fall. They called them walking Iris, maybe because the bloom stem gets heavy and ends up on the ground away from the main clump. Mine is yellow too.

I also have what was sold to me as African Iris, that one the bloom is white with a lavender throat. So they both are African Iris, nice to know.

Thanks,
Molly

Baa,

Mine were a pale blue with white
& yellow eyes when I got them. They now look like Lisa's.

Molly,

I have yellow & blue Walking Iris, they not the same plant as Africian Iris (some people call this Butterfly Iris or Fortnight lily). Walking Iris makes a new
plant were the bloom was, weights the stem down on the ground & the new plant puts on roots, thus the Iris walk.
