Carly has a small spot on her right side that won't heal. We took her in last week and Dr. Paul used the little cauterizing iron on it with a local, hoping that would take care of things. We'll it's still there and won't heal.
She's going to have to have a general and be put completely under tomorrow so he can remove it properly. It's a little skin tag or wart that she must have scratched the best we can tell. About the size of the end of my little finger and raised about 1/4 inch. It's distressing me much more than it is her.
As far as she's concerned, she's fine, but we don't want infection or problems...especially with long haired ,double coated dogs.
I'll let y'all know how she does. We're taking her in of the morning and going after her about 4pm.
