Hi Everyone,
I think I may have a bug problem, but since I am new to Brugs I'm not sure.
I purchased 4 Brugs from ebay .... they arrived with leaves and small root balls. They looked healthy, but now after being potted up about 2 weeks, I am noticing something that looks like cobwebs or spider webs on them. A few leaves actually had long trailing weblike thing hanging from them. (I am terrible about dusting, but I don't think that's the problem.... they haven't been here long enough ... ;-)
I don't see what is obviously a bug, but the bottom of some of the leaves look like they have dirt on them.
So far all I have done is take a damp cloth and wipe off the leaves and stems.
I have some other brugs in the same room that were given to me by a generous member of this forum, and they are doing great. It's a large room, and they are way on the other side but I'm afraid whatever this is may spread. I have other seedlings in this room too ... by the healthy brugs. No sign of a problem on anything except the ones I purchased.
I'm hoping to get most things moved to my small portable greenhouse in a few days, but am wondering if I should get and keep these other brugs isolated. Does it sound like a "bug"?
Any suggestions on how I should proceed?
Need help with what may be a "bug" problem?
You have spider mites. You can make a home made spray with alcohol and water 1:1 with a squirt of dishsoap added in to make it stick. Spray the whole plant, especially the undersides of the leaves every three days. It will take several sprayings to get rid of them.
Thanks Calalily.
I thought it may be something like that .... this is my first experience with them. I've had houseplants for years, but until now no spider mites.
Should I spray the plants that don't look like they've been effected?
Is that rubbing alcohol like you get at the drug store?

Susie, did you add your recipe to the recipe thread?
When I treat for mites everything gets sprayed.
I agree with Root, everything in the same area as the ones with mites should get sprayed. Those things can spread fast!
Shirley, I'll add my recipe.
Thanks Susie
