Screen Area

Hello, I am new to this forum, although a long-time Dave's member.

My sister did something to her computer, and the screen area is so small that any window is too large to fit.

So, I went to PROPERTIES, then to SETTINGS, then to the SCREEN AREA, which was set at the extreme left for the smallest amount of screen. I moved the slider to where it belongs in the center. PROBLEM: the window is so large, that there is no way to get to the SUBMIT/OKAY button to click on it!

So, I tried moving the slider, then just hit ENTER on the keyboard. This appeared to work, and the computer asked to do a RESTART so it wouold recognize the new settings.

I again used the ENTER key on the keyboard, and it did the restart.

HOWEVER, the settings were back to where they were when I started, with the smallest screen (largest window) setting AGAIN!

I would be grateful for any help in solving this problem
