Double Narcissus, Double Daffodil
Narcissus 'Replete'

Rosy pink daffodils??? That's what the catalog advertised but you can see here that there is no such thing. Not a surprise to me, but thought I would show the truth to others who might order this one.

THANK YOU!!!

That is an incredible message. I love plant files for this very reason. At first I used it only when the vendor did not have a picture of the plant. Lately I have learned the importance of "double-checking" the vendor photos. Plant files has saved me from making mistakes like this one while confirming my interest in others.

Powerful comparison shot.

I am glad you benefitted from my remarks, Sheryl.
Unfortunately, the plant vendors make wild claims and show distorted pictures all the time. I was really disappointed a lot during my early years of gardening! Now I have scaled back my expectations, and have a "wait and see" attitude about new plants.
Happy gardening!

I totaly agree, PF stopped me from making a purchase of a daylily the other day. I saw it bagged up under a name, came home and looked it up and the color was totaly different than what was pictured. Needless to say I didnt go back and get that or any other plants from this company.

i have a PINK garden -- dappled sun -- daffodils do well, so do lilies & irii in it.
ARE there any "true pink" daffodils?
other suggestions?

I just bought and planted this daffodil "Replete" the other day. I wouldn't be too bothered if came up yellow or pink. They are both pretty. Anyway, I can't believe anyone tried to deceive you. That would be too weird and anyone doing that wouldn't last long in the business. I wonder if coloration is related to your soil composite? Some plants are very sensitive and respond differently to soil composite whether it is lacking or has too much of a certain mineral or is alkaline or acidic can have an effect too. Much like Hydrangea turning blue or pink, magnolia, etc.
