YooHoo Kell ... who's house is that? Beautiful photo!!

Welcome Twyla .. you can uhhh & ahhh right along with us!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Oooooooooohhhhhhhhhh, it is breathtaking!!! Look at all the glycinia flowers! I love the house. It is so neat!!!

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Kell, that is so neat. It looks like a painting with the wisteria everywhere. Is that a house in your neighborhood?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Great picture Kell. I love the Wisteria. It is a beautiful setting and I'll bet even better in person.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Kell: your house is lovely! I'm assuming from all the gorgeous plantings that it is yours...

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Great picture Kell!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Heavens no, not my house. One of my favorite things to do is ride around and enjoy others gardens. Though I sure love these old ones! It is on my spring tour. I have a picture file of houses I love. It has a wisteria that is so old. The trunk is huge! It must have been planted when the house was built in the 1800s. It has been cut off and half is rotted but it has put out these hoses and that is what is all over the house and it grows up a huge tree. The first time I saw this, I thought it was a giant wisteria tree then I realized after 3 years of visiting that it was actually climbing the tree. See the big wisteria trunk crossing over the walk to the tree?

That is amazing. Mine is pencil thin and I'm hoping to just keep it alive...never in my mind would I even think of one getting this big.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

That blows me away!!! Wallpaper!!!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

You'd think it would pull down either the house or the tree.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

That is amazing. Beautiful Kell.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Twyla, want more pictures? This was part of my jungle last year. There is a brug or two in there someplace, but they got lost in the shuffle. All the other tropical kind of took over too fast. I'm having to adjust the way I plant things this year to make more room for those things that need to get bigger.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Wow Brugie look at the size of your yellow shrimp plant. I finally found one. It looked pitiful when I got it but is perking up with some TLC.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Just beautiful Brugie! If we had your land and my climate there would be no stopping us!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

So where would that be Kell. We could pack up and meet there.

Thanks Donna. That yellow Justicia is very hard to root. My pink on roots easily and that thing took over a month. I haven't tried the red one yet.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Wow, Kell. Pretty picture of the monster Wisteria. I love it.

Brugie, Love you garden. I purchased a little Shrimp plant off Ebay and I mean little. LOL

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

This one isn't a fast grower. The red one grows very tall, but is a lousy bloomer. I'm still happiest with the regular old pink.
Thanks Ada. Sure wish I had it planted. Wouldn't even mind watering. I've just got the planting bug way too bad.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Me too, Brugie but I'd just have to go back and dig it up when the cold front comes thru again. LOL I dug up my Chocolate vine and put it back into the garage. I didn't want it to freeze.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Gosh, it is freezing here today also!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Sorry girls, I used the german word Glyzinie by mistake for this beautiful Wisteria. It sure amazing!
Shirley, your tropical jungle is pretty. I like the Cannas

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

So Kell... who is that in the picture? Is it you????

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Hey Sue, I wouldn't have thought of that because she is so elusive. LOL!! Maybe we have seen our first picture of Kell.

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Kell and Brugie, love your garden pictures. Don't know that i would want that large a wisteria in my garden but would love to be able to drive by and enjoy it. Your garden is fabulous Brugie, I guess i won't have any cannas this year, didn't manage to keep the roots over winter. Donna

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Brugie: So pretty!

Twyla: This was my front flower bed last year (it was its first year)... different theme planned for this year -- brugs!

Gretchen

Very pretty, Gretchen. You'll love the Brugs also.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Thanks, Ada! I planted all of them (brugs) over the weekend (in their pots in case we got inclement weather, so I could easily pull them out), and we did, and they're all back in the greenhouse! Oh well, at least I have partial holes left to put them in... It has rained cats and dogs here since Sunday! We are supposed to have a cold snap next week, so after that passes, they are going in the ground. I think the only ones that will be planted in their pots will be the Versi's.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL. I was wondering if someone was going to ask that!

Gretchen, that looks so pretty! I bet the brugs will look even better! LOL How cold is it going to get? Brugs can take it pretty low.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Love your tropical bed, Shirley.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

kell: Its supposed to get into the 40's again, but I was more concerned with all this rain. I don't want them to rot in the ground before they have a chance to send out a good root system... Am I crazy? All I keep hearing about them not liking wet feet. We received 1 1/2" of rain yesterday alone, and its still coming down. The holes I dug for them are 1/2 full of standing water. That's why I decided to pull them out and wait for warmer, dryer weather. And, thank you! It was an "instant gratification" garden. All the perennials were hidden by those gian zinnias and rudbeckias. It looks much different now. Mostly salvias, lantana and coreopsis. Some natives and there will be two brugs up front, and lots of brugs around the east and north sides of my house. I don't dare put them on the west side...

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Can't wait for this year's pictures Gretchen. I love zinnias and hope to plant some in the veggie garden this year. I'm running out of room.

Kell, you still didn't say if that was you or not.

Thanks everyone. I've run out of brug pictures to post so I'm resorting to my other stuff. LOL!

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Shirley:

I've planted all my new beds with stuff I started in the GH, but still have 100's of seeds to sow. I honestly am not quite sure where they're all going to go, but I'll find places for them, even if I have to start a wildflower meadow LOL!

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

So kell,you're evading the question.......LOL

edited to add...

I know its not Kell cause she's not wearing a bikini!
