GGGRRRRRRR it really ticks me off,I try to be soooo good about taging evey pollination I do and it fades on me.....

The really dry one is the CDW X L'amour....do you think the seeds will be any good?

Well pop those babies open and let's have a look. Bet they will be just fine if they didn't germinate in the pod.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Hurry and plant them CC or send them to me. LOL

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Well, do WE have seeds? Might as well join in the begging, right?
I don't know how much my (very little) experience will help, but here's what I did last summer. I cut pieces of different colored satin ribbon, a different color for each pollen & attached each one to a label marked with the cross & the date. I figured that if the ink faded, I would still know the pollen by the color of the ribbon. Some of my pods didn't take & I left the marker with the ribbon in the pot to see if they would fade beyond recognition down in the soil with the constant watering. They didn't fade at all.
I have a bunch of yearling seedlings from the seeds that you sent me. They should start blooming soon, some of them have buds, and they are outside ready to grow!

Open it CC ... and lets see!!!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Yeah! Open it up and let us see what's inside!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I had one like that CC and they germinated!

Ronna, I did the same thing last summer. I had run out of tags so I used 4 colors of ribbon. It worked great and the brugs looked so festive. Then when the pods started to ripen I could not find where I had the key of which color was which pollen. I now have tons of seeds marked X gold ribbon, X white ribbon etc. LOL. I may toss them! But the pollen I used was RK, L'Amour, and Rosamond so it hurts. LOL

Use the "Minnie Pearl" tags, but then tape over the writing so it won't fade.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Kell do you need my address?!?! Don't toss them, lets start an absentminded seedbank, seeds for new folks, that do not care what the cross is,LOL!!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I use a sharpie and write on the stem, and then I can't read my shorthand!

Marshfield, MO(Zone 6a)

I use paint markers and it doesn't fade

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

I use nursery tags..the kind you tear off a roll and feed one end thru the other till they tighten down.A lifetime sized roll is expensive..but hey..what price can you put on accuracy.. :-)

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

I still use the Industrial Sharpie, it never fades, nor washes off, so DON"T get it on your clothes!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Where do you find the industrial sharpie, Hibiscus?

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Karyn, CDW x L'Amour should be an excellent cross. You might obtain your own double PINK!!!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Walmart, Lowes', any office supply store.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Thanks, Hibiscus. I'll check Walmart and see if I can find one.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Gee Ada, you are not giving me much confidence! LOL. I have been using the rub a dub dub pens. Will they fade as some point? I used to use pencil and I just love being able to read the black ink so easily now.
