Is blooming again...it is about 3 feet tall but very thin.I guess I'm gunna have to stake it......
Pink favorite
I loved this one for the BIG, BIG flowers.
I let mine go last fall. It can't handle our heat here as well as others and I had too many to hold over anyway. It was pretty, I just had others I liked better. You are so lucky to have blooms in your greenhouse. Sorry to hear you may get more snow. Hope they are wrong.
Very pretty, CC. I hope to see blooms on mine this year.
Is that a big fat pod,I spy behind it?
Bob, I was eyeing that too. Up in the right top corner?
Brugie, you and Root would make good detectives. You don't miss a thing. LOL
So spill the beans, what is the pod? LOL
I bet CC is in bed now,she is up at 2am.
Yep Ada,the pod detectives!!!
Wow 2 AM I'm usually still up but when I worked I didn't stay up that late.
Sure looks like a peduncle and a dried partial calyx! LOL
I tossed 3 of these at the height of the SB scare. Too many people had SB on it and mine looked kind of peaked. Could have been the winter blahs but I was not taking any chances! I will admire this one from afar!
Mine is now in Italy and she sure loves to be there. It is warmer and the humidity is higher. The flowers are much prettier.
Boy, your brugs have quite the life. They even get to go to Italy!
High life kell LOL!
Yup ,its a pod, crossed it with butterfly.......
LOL!! LOL!! I had forgotten which thread this was CC and for a minute there I thought you were talking about your arborea pod. I was going to run out and cross all my arborea flowers with everything in my freezer! LOL. Be still my heart!
Last night I was out there late taking pics and the scent from this was amazing. It is so different. not heavy at all.
Wow, Kell that's pretty also.
Gosh thats a beauty Kell ...
I think this is going to be one of my top ten!I sure hope the one I have likes my yard.
B. arborea is one of my favorites. I need a Tree of it again for my alley.
I hope our summer is a bit cooler this year so my arborea might bloom during the summer. I love the fragrance, but not sure it is my favorite brug yet.
Really Monika? Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! With all of the fantabulous ones you have??? The scent may be my favorite, but I can't say it is beautiful to me. The blooms are small but perky! The leaves are furry and the pods adorable. It would not make my top 10. I guess I am more into size and gaudiness!
Though at night with its many little blooms, it just sparkles!
I like arborea. It has a sheltered spot in my garden. I want to see how it handles the TX heat. So far, it looks good.
Brugie, I let my Pink Favorite go to brug heaven too.
I love the fragrance of B. arborea. I had a tree, raised out of seeds and gave him away! I have regretted it more than once LOL
I can send you seeds Monika. lol, remember, you sent the originals to me. They were from the ones you sent to HG but when they were returned they were marked aurea something. I don't hand pollinate them. Or I can send you cuttings. Your choice.
I would prefer seeds Liz because B. arborea cuttings tend to bloom at a smaller size.
I had never thought of a Arborea alley tree! Mine is a huge bush! And now that I think about it, it has never suckered.
Oh dear, more seeds to start! LOL
Oh, now that would be so pretty.
