I bought a honeysuckle recently that looks like this. It seems to be more of a shrub with runners. Is your plant a shrub. I am not sure how to plant this.
Thanks

I have a beautiful Trumptet honeysuckle that blooms brilliantly in the springs then kind of peters out over the summer but still has a handful of blossoms throughout. This year the leaves are a bit yellow in the deepest part of the follage closest to the house. Do you think this is a watering issue? Not enough? Recommendations please

Kplinn, I just saw this post, hope your trumpet is doing better. We totally ignore ours, and it is as lush as can be this year. It is on the north side of a south fence, where is it allowed to peek though the fence and blooms insanely on the south side, reaching for the sun. We don't turn on the automatic sprinklers until it gets hotter, so this is doing with simply rain/ground water and it's covered with blossoms in April.

This plant is a vine. We have it growing wild here. I have some reaching 30 feet into a tree. My dad replanted some on his fence close to a sidewalk last year and is now wondering if that was the right thing to do. It's already trying to reach 3 feet out on both sides. However, it is very beautiful and will be worth the effort to keep it under control.....we hope. If we can just train it to follow the fence and keep the outreaching tendrils trimmed off, everything should be ok. Last year, dad's vine had blooms from spring....thru most of the winter. I didn't really pay attention to mine since they are out of sight.

Nodding here, ours is healthy enough to be out of control. Sigh.....
