Abyssinian Gladiolus Bulbs....

Garberville, CA(Zone 9a)

I dug up my pot of Abyssinian Gladiolus a couple weeks ago, and ended up with many, many baby bulbs that I didn't have room for. I was able to pass out some of them, but still have 20 or 30 bulbs left, which I would be happy to pass out to anyone interested. They are deer-proof, and they tend to multiply like crazy, so unless you really like them, and don't mind if they spread all over, keep them in a pot.

I would really like to trade with anyone who has deer-proof bulbs or plants, something I can plant in pots on my back deck.

If you're interested, drop me an email, and I'll get back to you. If I run out, I'm sure I'll have LOTS more next year!

I am interested if these will take the Florida heat. Also, I am not sure what plants are deer proof!

Most bulbs are deer proof. (some lillies, and some tulips are not) Most annuals like pansies, marigolds, etc will get eaten instantly.

If you would prefer to do a SASE, that is fine too. Let me know.

I have been looking for these for a special project I am doing! I am so glad that I May have found them! I am starting a PET garden, with a plant in the bed for each member of out pet family. Cooper is an Abyssinian cat! I thought this would be the perfect plant to represent her in the themed bed!!

I am not sure what I have that is "deerproof" but I think wormwood herb is and I have a TON of that although it is not the samne caliber as this beauty! I will check a deerproof list online and see...
