Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

I just finished my first bottle, and so far,I love it,from my Nanas that are touching the ceiling,to my seedlings.

The Heart of Texas, TX(Zone 8b)

That's great..I just bought a bottle and started using it on some of my plants coming out of dormancy and I used it on my African Violet babies....WOW...they went through the roof too and now I have to repot them all..lol .
I am going to try it on a few plants that got over fertiled and see if it will give them a boost.
I'm going to try it on the nanners I just planted too since it's working for you.:>)

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Where do I buy it? I have looked, have never seen it. Thanks for any help.

The Heart of Texas, TX(Zone 8b)

I bought mine at Lowe's about $8.00 for a small bottle but it doesn't take but a drop or two so it will last a while.
I think I saw some on eBay to recently and you can check at Home Depot too.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

We have a nice Lowes store, have never seen it, will ask.

Thank you much.

Seattle, WA(Zone 8b)

Just bought some on my lunch hour today....hoping it will help with some of my slow to root cuttings of various things.
Maybe even give a shot in the arm to some of my ho-hum house plants too.
Great topic Lottie!

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

I found mine at our Family Tree greenhouse, she recommended I try it,I think mine was about 7 for a small bottle.
I told Jeff I was trying it,he told me it was great,so I went in with a good attitude.gotta get more already.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

I just bought a small bottle yesterday and Wal-Mart for $5.95.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

At our Lowes it is by the grass seed hanging up on a post. I have used it but not enough to tell if it did any good. My brug didn't get much care last summer due to having shoulder surgery. I plan on using it alot this summer to see.

Here are some comments from a thread on Super Thrive from the Propagation Forum

Superthrive has Vitamin B1 and one of the rooting hormones in it, pretty concentrated levels, but basically that is all it is. You probably could concoct something similar.

Olathe, KS(Zone 6a)

I've been using it for several years and I love it. I had a chance to talk w/ a rep. from their company and was picking his brain for all info I could. He gave me a anaology to help describe ingredients. "Imagine you have a HUGE bag of seeds and you mash them and squeeze out all of the juice that the seeds contained. Those seeds are full of hormones that scream ROOT ROOT ROOT." They added some B vitamins to the hormones and WALLA! Thats the skinny imo and I believe it. I like mixing it w/ Maxicrop(Liquified Norwegian seaweed) to feed cuts, seedlings, and freshly potted plants to reduce shock. I don't think my local Lowe's carries it, they JUST started carrying Maxicrop I think. Get ya some and try not to smell it if you have a sensitive tummy;).PEEYUU

You are funny......like when I used fish emulsion, peeyou, whew, also.

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

How about crushing some willow twigs (green ) for your rooting hormone and steeping them in water with a B Comp. tablet.
............ I have not bought this product but have taken a whiff, it smells like B vitamins ... Pee-Ewe !

The Heart of Texas, TX(Zone 8b)

Thanks so much for all the input.
I'm glad to see others have used it, too.
I looked at it on the shelf for a longtime before I bought it, feeling that it was kinda pricey for my buget.I can tell you that my African Violet babies loved it. They seem like they sprouted straight up overnight and increased in size and color . Perhaps it is because they put down newer roots in addition to the starter roots they had?
I am certainly no wiz at why it works, but I like the heck outta anything that does what it says it will do. :>)
So far it looks pretty good to me.
Oh yeah..any comments on who wrote the label?
It ain't in English that's for sure.Makes it look hookey.lol

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

I wish the bottle came with an eyedropper,I think I over used it,I can never seem to measure one drop,or even a 1/4 tsp.

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Bob , Get a syringe

Olathe, KS(Zone 6a)

LOL Bob, You meathead;P
Just unscrew the cap about 1/2 a turn and gently squeeze and WALLA! you have a drop. Over a year of dispensing this way, you'll need to remove the cap and wash thread for the cap of it crystalizes and is hard to get off;)
We need to hook up bro. Lucky me, I'm having a slumber party for my rugrats 15th birthday. Just what I need, 8 giggling know it alls gossiping and making my life hell!LOL
You wemens are a trip at any age I tell ya. I don't bother trying to figure out why, it's tiring enough w/out extra thought. Lord give me strength. I dont have anything worth talking about for for next week. . Gimme a shout a let me know what you have going on.Peas bro.

I went to the pharmacy section of the market and bought several of the large eye dropper thingies that people use to give kids their medicine. They are marked with quarter up to one teaspoon. They are about a buck each and really work great.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

LOL! JD!That sounds complex!!
I like how they say you can even use the dried portion around the cap.

Olathe, KS(Zone 6a)

LOL! I JUST finished reading that part on the label!!!That's a whole new ballgame now though. It's hard enough to measure by the drop, not to mention "super concentrated crystals" per gallon. I'd like to see somebody figure that 1 out. I need to get w/ you next week Bro, I need them pots and a few other little goodies. Please let me know what your schedule looks like, I'm wide open...I think;)

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Guess I'm gunna have to break down and get some.......

south portland, ME(Zone 5b)

pinetree seeds mail order sells it for $5+. all the items in their catalog are priced bare bottoms and the shipping is a flat rate of either $2.95 or $3.95 depending on season or something. you can order 500 lbs. and it's the same and they're great to do business with. i live in maine where they're located and go to pick up my orders; it's a real local enterprise where the only buildings i saw were an old house and barn and lots of fields. they're always at the top on the watchdog.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I bought some and now can't find it! Is it bad if I use too much? I am of the school that if a little is good a lot is better!

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Sweetsis,I will have to check out that store,I think I used to get a catalog from them.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)
