Dwarf brugmansias?

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

I've read that Eventide is a dwarf, is her sister Everlasting a dwarf, too? What other plants are naturally small? I would love to see more small ones, it would make it so much easier for those of us who have to bring everything inside for the winter. Even those who can leave them outside would be able to have room for more plants, and could stick their noses in the flowers to smell them!

Ronna, I have a seedling from the same cross as Eventide...but it blooms white....not a real beauty but very short(2 1/2 ft) plant when it bloomed and very small flowers.

Cool, are you going to pollenate it and try for some color?

Isn't Cypress Gardens considered a Height challenged Brug?

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Root, my Cypress Gardens was about nine feet high last year. I don't know how tall they'll get.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Holy smokes,I was told,I had to grow it in a pot,or the blooms would be in the dirt.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

LOL I had some blooms in the dirt also. It had so many blooms on it, I couldn't believe it.

I lost mine the first year,I have problems keeping up with pots watering,I may try one in the ground this year,I like the shape of the blooms on CypressG.

Ronna I would like to grow some dwarf/smaller types and establish a definate line of them.I think they would be fun...I have 3 small types now..but all are white flowered.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Root, I trimmed mine up last Fall to make a tree. The blooms won't be touching the ground this year. Unless they're night feet blooms. LOL

Kyle, I hope you can accomplish this. I'd love to have some smaller plants to grow on the deck.

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Wonderful! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, Kyle!

Cherchez la Femme is a shorter variety.
It is yellow.
If ever I can get it propagated fast enough.

And I am sure you will have a long waiting list,it is a fantastic Brug!

Everlasting is not as short as Eventide. I grew some Eventide seedlings, they were very short. I even sprayed them with GA to see if they would grow. They didn't put on a growth spurt from the GA like the other brugs did. Unfortunately those seedlings all froze before they got to bloom. I will try to make the same crosses this year. No danger of freezing down here!

There will be if I show up....it just follows me like a big black cloud...

CC, then you can come down in August, there should be enough stored heat in the sand and sticker bushes down here to offset any frost you might bring and I'm sure we would love some cool air about then.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

LOL!

Miniature brugs would be great additions! Go Kyle and Susie go!
