GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

My DH and I just returned home from a horse show, and look what greeted me when I went out to close the GH for the night? I assume that she'll get a little pinker... She's absolutely gorgeous. And her scent is divine! Thank you all for getting me here!!!

Thanks All! The color has already deepened a bit this morning. Can't wait to see what she looks like tonight! A great, blessed day to you all!!!

I'm going to spend it planting. Got 54 plants in the ground yesterday and today my goal is 200. Also need to finish laying my soaker hoses. Next will be the brugs, then the rest of my seeds, new mulch, then I'm done...with planting at least LOL!!!

You and Frosty look fabulous Gretchen. However, I'm waiting to see pictures of your garden. I know that with your care it's going to be beautiful and put on a spectacular show. :)

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Wow, look at all those blooms on that small plant. Lucky you. You've finally been rewarded for all your hard work, and you certainly do work hard.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Gretchen, you look so happy holding your brug. Isn't it great to see that first one? Thanks for sharing your great pictures. What did your hubby think about it?

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Again, thank you all!!!

Yes, its a fabulous feeling to know all that effort in getting them started and babying them in that little portable greenhouse through the Winter, paid off!

Shirley, my DH could care less. Kind of disappointing, but he does not have an ounce of gardening in his bones. I wish he was excited for me, but its not to be. Oh well... wonder what he'd think if I acted that way the next time he brought home a great catch? I'd never do that to him though ...

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Gretchen, you seem to have a handle on your planting and mulching. When you get thru, you can come up the rest of us. LOL

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

What a great show to come home to! Just imagine what it will do once it gets to growing outside. Thanks for sharing. Great photos!

Mesilla Park, NM

How wonderful for you Gretchen, you both look great..

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Thank you all for your wonderful comments!

I am so sore from working the past two days, I can barely move, but not too tired to enjoy the awesome scent of this brug. The color has deepened substantially, and it is so pretty. Sorry if its boring, but I have to share the latest pics. Gretchen

I had no idea how intense the fragrance of these. Its on my kitchen counter and the whole room is filled with its wonderful aroma. Of course I've read all the posts, but until you experience it firsthand, its unimagineable!

She looks very lady like. Gretchen, you should be proud of her. Gosh, your first bloomer and she does look really pretty. Sorry you are sore, but I know what you are talking about. All I did was plant six roses and it wiped me out.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Thanks Root -- you're very kind! Hope you found a big enough tub for those 'tails!

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Well Brugie, I hope you have a lovely, rejuvinating evening! You deserve it!!! And, yes. Miss Frosty Pink is very feminine and lady like. I love her!

Homestead, FL(Zone 10b)

Gretchen:

It's not boring at all. I love to look at Brug photographs and I understand your joy. I get the most pleasure from the simple things in life and looking at Brugs and other plants remind me to thank God for all of the beauty he has created and for my ability to see, smell, and touch them.

I'm sorry you're so sore. Remember that Epsom Salt is not only good for our brugs, it's also good for soaking our sore and tired bodies. :-) I hope you'll feel better soon.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Delecie: So sweet! Thank you and AMEN! The soreness is nothing a good night's sleep won't cure... We're supposed to get rain here for the next few days, so I won't be outside working as hard as I have been. Inside doing housework instead YUCK! I hope you have a truly blessed evening!!!

Homestead, FL(Zone 10b)

Thank-you Gretchen and I hope you have a blessed evening also. I have housework to do too and since I know you're doing yours as sore as you are, I no longer have an excuse not to do mine! LOL I guess I'd better get moving!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

You guys are making me feel guilty. Does doing laundry count? LOL!

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Get some good rest, now that you have smelled your first, and you can see why we are so nuts, just think how sore you will be when your addiction reallly takes hold!
I have a tub already set up for the cattails, lol!
