I have daphne burkwoodii, Carol Mackie which is semideciduous and has the same great smell has odorata but the leaves are finer and smaller.

My DH just told me this morning he is a little hesitant for me to trade plants as the nurseries here in Oregon are starting to have some trouble with sudden oak death syndrome , a pathogen, found in 5 new nurseries. This nurseries had done business I believe with Monrovia which is struggling right now with this problem.
Oh no. I definitely don't want to import the disease. We are scared here in GA. Do you have any reason to believe that your plant has had contact with any Monrovia/infected plants? I wonder if the fact that it would be in a pot on my porch would help the case. I don't know since I don't know how this pathogen is transmitted. Hmm...I don't want you to do anything you are not comfortable with. Do you guys have to worry about the dahlias?

Not on dahlias and we haven't had any contact with Monrovia plants, my hubby even told me to hold off on buying anything for my personal use from Monrovia. He is just very very cautious.
