That is a nice color, how does it do in the the sun and heat? We get very hot and dry summers here and was just wondering. Thanks..

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Pretty blooms. Can't wait for mine to bloom this year.

Jones Creek, TX(Zone 9a)

Gourd, this is my first year to grow this one. It will be a good test subject since our summers do get so hot. We also have alot of humidity so that will be a good test to. I will keep you are informed as to how they do. It is pretty hot today almost 80 and it looks ok so far, but wonder how it will do after several days of this and more....

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

It is very pretty! Does it have a pink corolla edge?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

It looks great Dee. All of your flowers are great.

Jones Creek, TX(Zone 9a)

No Monkia it dosen't. This is the first flower for this plant to show, do you think it will show this in other flushes? Is that something comman to Teq Sunrise?

Thanks Brugie, I love all my brugs, they are really something to see in the mornings now as I stroll the gardens with my cup of coffee and my little dog....

Thanks Dee,
I think most of mine will have to stay in the shade in the afternoons. It gets up into 110-117 here for several weeks. We just put up some shade cloth over the arbor and that is where I plan to roll them into when July rolls around.

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Wow that second picture is gorgeous.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Forget me moving to Moreno Valley! I would melt!

This was one of my favorite brugs last year. It was also very photogenic! And I just realized I haven't seen it all winter. I sure hope it was not given away last year in error!

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Wow, Dee. Your place is looking fantastic!

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

I also got a cutting from David. Thank goodness it made it through the winter. It's nowhere near blooming size yet, so I can't wait.

Adrian, MI(Zone 5b)

I LOVE this one! It's on my list! Anyone know where I can buy it?
Bonnie

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Tracey might have it in her store. I don't have the address handy, but I think it is www.angelsbyashley.com

The address is right, but I don't see it on her list. You might want to send her an email and see if she has it though.

Adrian, MI(Zone 5b)

Thanks Brugie, I'll check!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

WOW, it is beautiful!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

That brug isn't big enough for Texas. I think you should send it to me in Iowa to keep for you until it gets Texas size. LOL! Very pretty.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

It looks wonderful!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Brugie! You are so funny! It IS a beauty!

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Dee, it is beautiful. What a great flush for the first flush of the year.

Jones Creek, TX(Zone 9a)

I'm about as proud as a peacock. I have a new path worn out where I have been going back and forth looking and smelling this one. Oh it is a beauty, but you know it sure looks alot like my Charles G., wonder how you could tell the difference if they ever got mixed up....
LOL...
Dee

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

OK, now I am confused! LOL. Maybe it is CG. Now that I am looking at it with a more discerning eye and not just in admiration of its beauty, it sure doesn't look like my TS. LOL

My TS had a definite darker outer rim and a very suaveolens look.

Kell, Isn't that Tropical Sunset??? and Not Tequila Sunrise?

Dee. this looks like the one I had labeled as Tequila Sunrise... but I learned later it was actually it's sister... Gypsy Queen. I think Gypsy Queen turns more orange and Teq Sun stays more yellow.

Oh thank you Sue! LOL I was more confused than I thought I was! LOL. Or maybe it was that old dingbat coming in from the garden posting under my name again! LOL

Yes........... definitely Tropical Sunset. I looked at the words Tequila Sunrise and saw Tropical Sunset. I do not even think I have Tequila Sunrise.

Just ignore me everyone while I figure out if I am rising or setting!

What would I do without my friends like Sue?? Be in perpetual confusion!

A little help from my friends
What would you think if I sang out of tune,
Would you stand up and walk out on me.
Lend me your ears and I’ll sing you a song,
And I’ll try not to sing out of key.
I get by with a little help from my friends,
...
I get by with a little help from my friends,
Yes I get by with a little help from my friends,
With a little help from my friends.

or maybe I should sing

Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly flow the days
Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers
Blossoming even as we gaze

Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laden with happiness and tears

Man Willow, that sure is a pretty bloom,I wish I had an answer for you.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

These are pics of my Gypsy Queen

http://www.abads-database.org/databaseimages/index.php?path=./Gypsy%20Queen/

I came to the conclusion that it wasn't Tequila Sunrise because of the flowers turning orange. Here's a pic of Susie's Tequila Sunrise http://www.americanbrugmansia-daturasociety.org/bTequilla_Sunrise2.jpg

WillowWasp, the calyx of CG is more narrow and the flower has longer tendrils.

Jones Creek, TX(Zone 9a)

I'm trying to get caught up with all the posts today. Been working outside. It was a gorgeous day here. This afternoon, my half brother from California dropped by for two or three hours. I put off planting my veggie garden to visit with he and his wife. Tomorrow I'll be in the garden for quite a while and will be sore tomorrow night. Dee, I got your mail and will try to get back to you later tonight.

Jones Creek, TX(Zone 9a)

Thanks Shirley no hurry, I may not get back to you until tomorrow sometimes. I am going to log off and hit the books....Talk to yall later....
Dee
