Nice pic's MiniSchnuz. I still have two months before they show up here. Enjoy them.

They are soooo cute!! Those are great pictures! So...a hummingbird baby is called a "Pixie"? That's perfect!! :)

Here's my DS ,holding the feeder. The ruby-throated hummer stopped by and took a drink and started to fly away.

Amazing photos! I wish I could get my hummers to come that close ~ We do have a Mockingbird that will eat out of our hand. I'll see if I can find the photo....

Mini they are just wonderful. I'm a good two months before seeing one too. LOVE your DD's hair!

Blue Springs, MO(Zone 5b)

Ohmygosh, those pictures are awesome!!! I wonder when the little darlin's will show up at my feeder? Anyone know?, I'm in Missouri... And I sure agree on your DD's hair - did you do that?!?!? Lucky kids to have such a talented mom - excellent photographer, superior braider and amazing hummingbird tamer!!!! :)

Citrus Heights, CA(Zone 9b)

I think the message here is that anyone can shoot those shots. What you came up with is what photography is all about. You knew just the way to capture that spark of the picture, what makes it work. That is the mark of the artist, rather than the machanic.Good shooting!

MiniS. Your hummingbird pictures are great and the kids too. I just put my first two feeders out yesterday. haven't seen any yet. We have roufous, blackchinned and caliope hummers here. A neighbor a few miles away has some in their yard so they will be here soon. Great photos. Donna

To answer your question abt DD's hair.. Yes I did it. It's easy to fix that and it can stay for few days and remove it.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Tricia, nice photos! I can't wait for our hummingbirds to come back. I'll have to learn to be really still this season, because the new camera doesn't have quite as strong a zoom (7x versus the 10x our Olympus has).

Lots of patience and stay still for a while until hummers come to the feeder. For us.. we only stay still for few second and they stop by! I guess they get used being around us daily. I couldn't count how many hummers we have now. I only see one female but several males.

The Heart of Texas, TX(Zone 8b)

Excellent Photos MiniS ! Mine feeders are up but I have not been still enough to se any yet. lol
The Kids are adorable:)
