Another great picture. Thanks for sharing with is. I'm thinking that even tho the bugs grow big in TX, the brugs are outstanding and maybe I could deal with the bugs.

The Heart of Texas, TX(Zone 8b)

Yep..you get used to the bugs...after a while you just learn to grow bigger flowers or out plant the bugs..lol

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Nice shot!!

I don't know Shirley ... lived in FL for a few years, hated those big bugs they had. And snakes!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

You know I hate snakes, but we have them here too. I'm still thinking about those fire ants....that didn't sound like fun to me.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

The snakes are all ready out here. We seen a black snake the other day. I don't mind the black snakes, it's the poison ones I don't want around here. Last year a man killed a big copperhead that has crawled out from where some of my Brugs were planted. LOL See even the copperheads like Brugs.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Down in Dania Fl at certain times of the year the Blue Racers would cross over from one side of the intercoastal to the other... about 6 lanes of road ... tons of them. They were so big!

The Heart of Texas, TX(Zone 8b)

No fun at all, fire ants are nasty little critters...they get their name honest, too.Hurts like the dickens!

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

I had one major dealing with F ants, and I hope never again!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Great pink also! You know how to grow them so big!

Here the worst we have are raccoons, possums, black widows and brown recluse spiders.

Kell,
I just love the color pink! This one is in the ground and is about 8 years old now...it grew out of the pot and rooted into the ground, almost pulling the pot down with it!
It blooms almost all year here for me. And the color just keeps getting deeper & deeper every year.
This one blooms in full flushes and even tolerates our heat.
I don't know what "name" it is either, but it's very vigorous .
Glad you enjoyed the pics.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

That is the one thing I like about living back in town. We still have fire ants. In fact, my feet are covered with fire ant bites right now, but, at least, we don't have the copperheads, coral snakes, black widows, centipedes and tons of scorpions like we had in the country.

Seattle, WA(Zone 8b)

Oh Lottie that is SO beautiful! Is it by chance the type you sent me cuttings of?
I just can't wait for them to root and begin growing for me.
Again thanks for sharing such a gorgous pic.

The Heart of Texas, TX(Zone 8b)

Hiya Marc, This is the one I sent so you can see it's a beauty what ever her real name is..lol
Glad you liked the cuttings and the pics.
My calla's are already coming back up too. Thanks so much!

Seattle, WA(Zone 8b)

Oh I'm SO glad! Now I know what it's suppose to look like, so I'll be able to tell for sure I've done something wrong when mine doesn't look like that :-) Positive thinking....I'm positive I'll do something wrong LOL.
Also glad to hear the callas are establishing themselves for you. That clump I sent comes from VERY hardy stock.
Thanks for the reply post and again for the gorgeous pic.

You betcha...I had a large branch break off the mother plant to your cuttings lastnight so I am making a few cuttings & going to try to root it as a small tree...wish me luck..if ya need anymore cuttings give me a hollar.:>)

Seattle, WA(Zone 8b)

Thanks lady.....can;t wait to get these four going. I also have several sprouts from some of the seeds SpringSong sent me. To Much Fun!! :-)

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Beautiful shot and wonderful color

Franklin, LA(Zone 9b)

oh that's so pretty
cant wait til i get started with brugs
lol
oh.. we've got lots of snakes here, too.. rattlers, cottonmouths, and ribbon snakes
got a whole family of ground rattlers living in our yard, as a matter of fact
lol
i dont mind them
but they scare the heck out of my mom (sundry) and everyone else
but, yanno.. we moved into *their* homes, they were here first
as long as they're not causing any harm, i dont see why we hafta kill 'em
i think i'm one of very few people who think that way, though..
i'll probably catch the poisonous ones and relocate them to the woods later in the year..
