About a week and a half ago Diggy our male cat was having trouble passing urine. He would strain in his cat box and only a little urine would come out. I took him to the vet. The vet treated him with subcutaneous fluids to help him flush out his system - poor thing leaked like a water ballon afterwards- a shot of antibiotics and one other shot to help him urinate. Sent me home with Amoxil 30ml 2x a day for two weeks. Within a day he improved. Today ( 8 days into his meds.)I noticed he's having trouble urinating again-urine is coming out but only small amounts. I have a appt. for him at five. Is there anything I need to ask the vet/have the vet do? Anyone else have a male cat have this problem? Thanks for your quick replies.
Edited to add- he's acting 100% normal, eating really good. He even jumped from the floor to my shoulder this a.m.
