Can I use this Fertilizer on my Brugs?

Brown City, MI(Zone 5a)

I have some Bayer, Advanced Garden, 2-in-1 Systemic, Rose & Flower Care. Feeds and protects against insects in one easy step. Protects against insects for 6 weeks. Promotes strong roots and beautiful blooms. 12-18-6

Active ingredient: Disulfoton

Directions say to apply granules to soil around base of plant, sprinling evenly in the area under the branches. Work granules into top 1 to 2 inches of soil and water thoroughly. For flower beds, sprinkle granules evenly over the top of the bed.

I've got a big container (12 lbs) so I'm hoping it will be ok for the brugs.

I've also got a lot of Miracle grow, that has been in the shed for several years. .......... would this still be good, or does it lose it's punch?

This is my first year with Brugs, so I want to feed them right.

Tree_climber, I use that rose Bayer systemic when I am worried about spidermites. And I have good luck with it. BUT BEWARE!!! It can really burn your plants. I only use a teaspoon for the small potted plants.

I use MG also, I would think time would not matter but I really do not know. Try it and if you get no growth push, it has lost its potency, I guess!

I have used just about every fertilizer and my brugs love them all! Including the cheapest ones from HD and even grass fertilizers. Some people swear by the ones that have the minors in them.

I've not used the Bayer, so can't help you there. If the MG has been closed up, I would think it is still okay. Don't know that for sure either. Don't you love the way I'm so helpful today? Good luck with your brugs. I'm sure you will do a good job with them.

I would think if your fertilizer has been kept dry and sealed in a bag it should be okay.

Thanks everybody, good advice as usual.

I will be careful with the Bayer product per your warning and I think that I will only use it about every 6 weeks for the "bugs" if needed.

I sure wish we would get some sun here. Temps have gotten out of the freeze zone, but the sun has taken a siesta.
