'Mount Hood' matures to pure white. It is a large daffodil, but not as prolific as many others I have grown.

Susan, a very good photo of this lovely daffodil. The center is very clear.

Thanks, Hazel. It won't be long before all the daffodils are done for the year. I counted more than 25 kinds growing out in the yard, but I don't know the names of all of them. They perform exceptionally well with our cold wet winters and dry hot summers.

Goodness gracious, that must be a sight to behold! What a task if you try to ID all of them. Most have to be pre-chilled here to bloom. I thought that last year I had purchased ones adapted to my area that did not need chilled. But, I thought wrong. Over half did not bloom this year. The ones I bought this fall from the same place which assured me that they would bloom, did not bloom at all to my disappointment. Maybe I am doing something wrong, huh.

I don't want to further discourage you from growing them, but you should know that warm weather causes them to have long, weak stems that flop over and the flowers do not last nearly as long. Since you have such a short winter you would have to prechill in late summer/fall and let them bloom in Dec and Jan, I think.

I guess the ones I bought were not the ones that are not supposed to need to be prechilled. I sure wasted a lot of money and I was very disappointed.
