I got the idea that it was good to zone 6 and would need protection below that. I don't know about you, but if I have a shrub outside, I don't want to have to winter protect it for the rest of my life.

............... I have a spot where I can plant zone-borderline plants and with a little luck they do OK. I started 4 acanthus mollis, 2 will go there and 2 will overwinter in the house , just in case. I tried 3 times before I finally got some to pop.

Hey Scooter, I didn't want to say anything until I looked. My Amsonia are not up yet so I am not sure how many I have but I remembered collecting seeds. If you want to try from seed let me know and I will send you some.
