Okay, I know you guys are sick of this one, but we're getting closer to a bloom photo. The calyx popped today on three buds. About how long before I have a bloom? I think this is a Frosty. Thank you!!!

I'm guessing 4 or 5 days. It probably will depend on how warm it is there. You are going to have a nice show of blooms once they start opening.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Sometimes they go very fast and other times they seem to take awhile. One of my new ones last year held itself half out of the calyx for 5 days. I wasg oing nuts. I was leaving for a few weeks and was desperate to see the flower. Good Luck Gretchen!!!!

Ada: You are so right! Its obviously my first one with buds, and its a cutting that was started in January, so its pretty exciting to me! I still can't believe how fast it put on those buds. I have some others with buds, just no where near this far along. Good evening to you all...I'm finished for this night :)

Marshfield, MO(Zone 6a)

The flowers will start yellowish and then turn pink, so don't be surprised.

Mary: Thanks! I think I read that somewhere. I have been studying these wonderful plants very intently, and trying to learn as much as I can! Still can't wait to get them out of the GH and into the garden. A couple more weeks....
