Walmart find I think it is Great? Do you?

I found 4 different canna bulbs I think 3 in the pack for 1/2 price around 1.50. And pkgs of 2 cally lilies for around the same price. They had pink cally lillies and a lavender ones. These are the only bulbs on clearance. at my walmart in baytown, Tx.

Lucky you! See it is late in the planting season there. We are just approaching ours so it will be a bit before we see such sweet deals. :)

Go for it, Lisa. I've had fairly good success with WalMart bulbs and rhiomes in the past.
However, remember that in buying from WalMart you are helping to kill off local nurseries and all other locally owned and operated business. WalMart has done terrible damage to Sedalia,MO. I will only go there anymore for items I simply cannot find elsewhere. They are also the leading importer from China sweat shops and recently are reported to have moved their purchasing headquarters to China. They don't pay their women employee's as much as the men in higher positions according to the report I was sent. If I can find it in my mail I'll forward it to you. Shocking information in this report which is quite long.

I know what you mean I love to give the local nurseries my business. The only thing that stops me is I am disabled and we had to file bankruptsy to save our home. And They cut off my workers comp check last month because their dr. said back to work light duty. I need back surgery as the one in 2000 failed to fuse. I try my best to use the locals first but it is tough to pass up a 1/2 price Item. My husband has been sweet to help me alot(never before but he knows how much it means to me to have pretty yard when I finally have surgery.
Thanks for caring and I would love to see the article as I have only heard about it. Not that I don't believe you I just want to know what is being done about it. This way maybe I can follow the actions taken.

I have had really good luck with Wal-Mart and Lowes bulbs and plants. It is unfortanuate the way Wal-Mart does there employees and to bad so many of us have to shop there. Most stores in this area are closed or will be because of the Wal-Mart influence. But remember Lowes, Home Depot and Target as well as Kmart do the same things. So don't blame it all on Wal-Mart as the shopper has impowered them all to do these things in the first place....I think they should bring back the "Blue Law" just so families would have a day together and some may even start going back to church again. We have just taken the we want it now and today to the extreme.....
