Very nice!

Is it Vitifolia? I have that one and Lady Margaret.

Hibiscus I'm not sure what the name of this one is, but it is definitely the center of attention in my garden right now. Is Lady Margaret a red also and would you have a picture of that one?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

It isn't Lady Margaret. I'll put some sites in here so you can maybe compare it to other reds that they have displayed and come up with a correct ID. Good luck.

Looks just like my Vitifolia, mine finished bloming about 2 weeks ago..They were so pretty..I started it last spring from a tiny cutting and it has grown like wild..It bloomed about 2-3 weeks...I probably won't get any more blooms for awhile.. They bloom in the cooler months..

Brugie thanks for all the links. I feel an obsession coming on, lol. From what I can tell I have either coccinea or vitifolia. Larkie, how did you root your cutting? Do they root in water?

Camilla, GA(Zone 8a)

I just took about a 10 in cutting and stuck it about half the length of the cutting in seed starting medium watered well, put in a window with good light, and in a few weeks had new leaves and a few roots..Haven't tried them in water.

I used a two liter soda bottle cut with planting end deep.. using the top for a green house effect..This way you can easily see the roots developing. If moisture gets too heavy, remove the bottle cap for just a little while..Make sure the soil is moist at all times.

This is a file shot of exoniensis. I almost got this but it won't take the cold here.
