Hi, I am thinking of using ajuga to replace part of my grass (er, I mean weeds) in one area of my yard. Think it would work? I hate to mow and I hate to pay to have it mowed.
Will need lots of it and am willing to trade or do sase in a few weeks.
Ajuga to replace...
Will have plenty in a few weeks to trade. Snow still here Shirley
OK marclay....thanks, you have mail.
I don't have any ajuga here. But at my old house I planted my entire front yard with ajuga. It worked very well. It stays green all year here in Ohio, and in the spring the little purple blooms were lovely.
That's good to hear and thanks honeygirl, I am going to do it!
Connie, I'll probably have some to move very soon. I know I have dark purple and may have green too.
Oh goodie badseed. Let me know what you want. I am surprised you can even see the ground at this time! Gonna be an April's fool day baby?????
Please, please any day but April 1st! LOL Believe it or not, our lows have only been in the 40s! I used the ajuga as fillers in places and I'll be wanting to move it out soon. I'll be in touch or you can E me. :)
Okie dokie, you are in charge since you just might be a little busy or distracted soon. I am in no hurry!
Edited to say that those Lion's ear you sent me never even skipped a beat this winter and have been blooming nonstop since I got them......what a great plant!

I am so glad to hear that! I remember how excited you were to get them, the plant our friendship was born on. ;) I started some seeds for them a couple of weeks ago but keep forgetting to water them. Yeah, um distracted. LOL My ears from you were beautiful all summer as were the other plants! I can't wait to bring them from their winter sleep.
Badseed, you have mails!
