orchids are EVERYWHERE there. i wish my digital had worked (it broke mysteriously the week before i left :-0 ), these pictures are from a sad little disposable camera and are of subpar quality. but it was gorgeous

haha this one just because its funny- and shows how lush it was everywhere. this is the st patty's day parade down the main drag of waikiki in honolulu. the building in the back in the police station. can you even imagine??

Wonderful pictures. Thanks for sharing with us. If you took pictures of flowers, I'd love to see those too. I noticed a hibiscus bloom in the corner of the last picture. It looks so nice and lush there. Wish we could have that in Iowa right now.

We have been to Hawaii twice, the second time, everything was so commercialized, wasn't near as nice. We were right across from Waikaki Beach, walked a mile to the rose gardens everyday. Saw lots of Bouganvillia from every balcony, lots of hibiscus, wish we could live there. It's as close to Heaven as you can get, here on earth.
